After a week from hell for lovers of individual liberty with the Supreme Court usurping the domain of Congress and drafting laws as well as inventing new "rights" out of thin air, California provided the trifecta when Gov. Jerry Brown announced that he signed SB277--a bill that forces you to vaccinate your kids or they cannot attend public school in California. In spite of the fact that California boasts some of the highest vaccination rates in the country, that wasn't good enough for the Marxist-Progressives who parade as Democrats.  They couldn't allow a minor outbreak of measles at Disneyland--that they along with their willing accomplices in the media ginned up into a massive public health crisis--to go to waste.  The fact that led to no deaths, and was caused by foreign visitors, not unvaccinated Californians was of no consequence. Sacramento rode the rescue yet again, and saved the public from what they perceive as the greatest threat of all--freedom, i.e. (the right to choose).  But I thought Brown was "pro-choice", right?   Not when it comes to guns, plastic bags, how long of a shower to take, and now making the choice to vaccinate or not.  No more parental rights, religious or personal exemptions based on informed consent. Jerry Brown doesn't trust parents to make the right choice for their kids.  And now, he's forcing families to make a Faustian choice:  Risk a vaccination that could harm your child or violate your religious beliefs or home school your kids.  You decide. So much for the party of "pro-choice".    I guess the only other choice many disillusioned Democrats will be making, is which party to join once they leave Dr. Richard Pan and Gov. Jerry Brown in the rearview. Your thoughts?   http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2015/06/29/california_sends_strict_vaccination_bill_ending_religious_and_personal_exemptions.html
