Too Drunk to Legislate, so Taxpayers Foot the Bill for Drivers for State Senators too Drunk to Drive

I work with Lyft (mostly weekends) to get a little extra cash. MOST of the people I give rides to have had too much to drink and wisely choose Lyft to get a SAFE ride home for half of what most of the unionized taxi companies charge. I am an independent contractor who uses a social app to communicate with people who want a ride from point A to point B, that’s it. For a certain amount, I pay the Lyft app (the middleman) a certain pre arranged percentage of what I consider a fair rate per mile / minute.
